Arriving at the scab-covered blood fortress, the Dickbags look to a way inside in order to retrieve Zariel’s sword. Navigating through a maze of lightless tunnels proves difficult for those unable to see in the dark. How will they handle battling enemies they can’t see?
With the adamantine rods in hand, the Dickbags try to figure out their next course of action. A brief message with Bell informs them they need to take the rods to the Companion, but before they do that they need to acquire Zariel’s sword from the blood fortress. But where is it?
After locating the wreckage of the fallen fortress and dispatching of a group of vrocs, the Dickbags begin their search for the adamantine rods. Darkness, tight corridors, propaganda, and unexpected guests await our adventurers as they search for a safe’s combination.
With Toph and Elder Storm restored, the Dickbags are finally able to continue their journey in search of Bel’s missing rods. Another instance of spatial warping, a possible hunting party chasing them, fire storms, and a swarm of vrocks sends one of the party members over the edge (literally!)
Due to a player’s lack of knowledge around certain game mechanics (specifically the ability to cast lower level spells using a higher spell slot), a group decision was made to retcon the last two rounds of combat with the sibriex. As a result Elder Storm was not turned into an abyssal wretch, but rather cleansed of his poison at four points of exhaustion.
Having narrowly escaped their battle with the sibriex, the Dickbags regroup at their tormentor vehicle. Liam and Ser Nedir discuss what they should do with the now feeble minded Toph and Elder Storm. With so few powerful allies in Avernus, they decide to inquire with Red Ruth or Mohadi at the Wondering Emporium. As they travel, the Dickbags experience their first spatial warping and quickly realize getting to either destination may be more difficult than they thought…
After partaking in their complementary barge cruise, the Dickbags set out to question the Sibriex captured by Bell. The current interrogation is being handled by two chain devils and an arcanaloth, known as Fetchtater. As the Dickbags approach they quickly hear a voice in their minds, “If it is information you seek, free me and it is yours” that they deduce is coming from the Sibriex. A plan is formulated and as the Dickbags acquire the information they seek, things quickly escalate out of control. Not all Dickbags may walk away from this one…
After a full night’s rest in their newly repaired tormentor, the Dickbags finally make their way to Bell’s volcano lair. Ser Nedir starts exhibiting some questionable behavior by requesting to take back his longsword (recently blessed by Tiamat). The group is able to arrange a meeting with Bell, which quickly seems to take on multiple layers. What are they getting themselves into now?
The dominos finally begin to fall for the Dickbags. Having obtained a vial of Tiamat’s blood, they are able to restore Uldrak to his titan state, acquire some of his blood, and free Razala from her confinement at the Demon Zapper. Finally free, Razala has pointed the Dickbags to Bell’s volcano lair, near Haruman’s Hill. As the group makes their way to Bell, they make a quick stop at the junkyard before getting reacquainted with an old friend…
The Dickbags continue their discussion about filling their end of the deal with Arkhan. Not wanting to sacrifice an innocent person from Elturel, the possibility of a Dickbag sacrificing themself comes into consideration. Who would be willing to do such a thing and would Arkhan even accept it? What ulterior motives could be at play? As a revised deal gets made, it becomes clear who amongst the groups is truly favored…
The Dickbags prepare for their meeting with Arkhan The Cruel, hoping to trade the Orb of Dragonkind for a vial of Tiamat’s blood. To seal the deal, however, they must make a decision that they were not prepared for…
